But as the finale was premiering on TV, the show's social team left everyone in tears by posting one last behind-the-scenes Instagram photo of the cast and some key crew members behind the series.

As fans know, the final episode of The Good Doctor saw Shaun operating on his friend Claire Browne (Antonia Thomas) after she went into septic shock while undergoing treatment for breast cancer. As Shaun also grapples with the news that Dr. Glassman's brain cancer returned and he has a limited amount of time left to live, he desperately looked for a treatment to cure his mentor. This led the two to have an emotional heart-to-heart, with Shaun accepting Dr. Glassman's wishes and letting him spend the rest of his life in peace.
