Sacramento Kings will no longer pursue Pascal Siakam of the Toronto Raptors as a potential trade target.
According to Shams Chanaria of The Athletic, the Kings are no longer interested in the player.
Irrespective of the current situation, Chanaria notes that "the situation is fluid" and that interest can reappear at any moment. However, at the moment, the Kings are no longer in talks with the Raptors.
It was reported before that the Kings were looking to add a third "star" to the team to complement Domantas Sabonis and De'Aaron Fox. Siakam was one of the strongest candidates for this search.
This season, the forward is having a strong showing with averages of 22.4 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 4.9 assists on 52.1% shooting on all field goals.
