A heat warning has been issued for the area.

This warning comes as daytime highs are expected to reach between 28 and 33 degrees Celsius, along with overnight lows near 14 degrees.

These temperatures are expected to last until the middle of next week.

The heat warning is issued for the following areas:

Edmonton St. Albert Sherwood Park Fort Saskatchewan

Residents in the region are advised to protect themselves by rescheduling outdoor activities, taking frequent breaks from the heat, drinking plenty of water, and not leaving any person or pet inside a closed vehicle.
