Fire destroys three homes in Edmonton's Terwillegar neighbourhood

Crews arrived just before 11 a.m. and found heavy smoke coming from two burning homes.

The fire then spread to a third house. As of Monday afternoon, no injuries had been reported
Edmonton Fire Rescue Services spokesperson Kyle Owcharuk said the fire required a second alarm to bring in additional units, bringing the total number of firefighters on scene to 40.
Crews had the fire under control by 12:12 p.m. and were still working to extinguish hot spots Monday afternoon.
Owcharuk said investigators are still working to determine the cause of the fire..
The fire comes after another blaze in central Edmonton that sent three people to hospital. That fire was reported around 8:30 a.m. Monday after multiple callers noticed smoke coming from a residential building at 95 Street and 103 Avenue.
