Young and the Restless - Figure 1

We suppose, in the grand scheme of things there are far worse things in life than having to clear a dead animal out of your pool. Well, we guess it depends on the animal. But a rat? Well, that’s not too bad, is it? Unless you’re the poor rat. Actually, after seeing how The Young and the Restless‘ Michelle Stafford (Phyllis) handled it, we may have to rethink how bad the cleanup is.

One thing we do know is that it was certainly entertaining! The actress shared her “adventure” on Instagram, mercifully sparing us the worst of the rat other than a quick glimpse. The rest of it was all Michelle Stafford doing one of the most hilarious cleanups we’ve ever seen!

“It’s just a dead thing,” Stafford declared while trying to fish the poor creature out of her pool — though we weren’t entirely sure whether she was trying to convince us or herself! Check out the video below. As Stafford wrote, “Enjoy!”

Perhaps that would have gone a bit smoother if Phyllis’ portrayer had a bit more help — but it very much depends on the quality of help!

After Elizabeth Hendrickson (Chloe) let out an extended “OMG,” in the comments, she asked, “Wait did you call Christian [Jules LeBlanc, Michael] to do it?? Hahah that would be a great part two.” While Stafford just laughed in response, he certainly wouldn’t be any worse than his Genoa City brother! Because Greg Rikaart (Kevin) just made it clear, “I would have been zero help to you if I was there.”

That’s fair. We were, admittedly left a bit in suspense as to how Stafford finally got the rat into the trash bag, but we’re sure it all worked out in the end!
