Tornado Warning in Carroll County extended until 5:45 p.m.

The News 5 weather team has confirmed a tornado has touched down in Ashland County near Holmes County.

The following warnings are still in effect:

Tornado Warnings

The Tornado Warning has been extended for Carroll County until 5:45 p.m.

Severe Thunderstorm Warnings

Severe Thunderstorm Warnings have been issued for Tuscarawas County until 5:45 p.m.

Tornado Watches

Tornado Watches are in effect for essentially our entire viewing area until 9 p.m.: Ashland, Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Erie, Geauga, Holmes, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage, Richland, Stark, Summit, Tuscarawas, and Wayne counties.

Flood Advisories

Flood Advisories were issued in Cuyahoga, Lake and Lorain counties until 7 p.m.

Tornadoes are possible in and near the watch area. Review and discuss your emergency plans and check supplies and your safe room. Be ready to act quickly if a warning is issued or you suspect a tornado is approaching.

Tornado Warning: Take Action!
A tornado has been sighted or indicated by weather radar. There is imminent danger to life and property. Move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If in a mobile home, a vehicle, or outdoors, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.
