Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) has issued a snowfall warning for the City of Red Deer and areas in Red Deer County, Stettler County, Lacombe County and Ponoka County.
Heavy snowfall is expected tonight, December 17, and tomorrow, with total amounts potentially reaching 10-15 cm.
ECCC says the snow will begin in western Alberta this evening and spread eastward through central Alberta by Wednesday morning. The heaviest snow fall is expected to be during the day on Wednesday, before tapering off in the evening.
Visibility may suddenly be reduced while travelling in the snow, so be prepared to adjust your driving, turn on your lights, and follow from a safe distance.
