Up to 25 cm of snow forecast in southwestern Alberta

CARDSTON, AB – Environment Canada is calling for a brief blast of snow this week.

It has issued special weather statements for several areas in southwestern Alberta, including Cardston, Waterton Lakes National Park, Pincher Creek, Crowsnest Pass, and Claresholm.

Snow is expected to begin Tuesday evening, April 30, 2024. By Thursday morning, anywhere between 10 and 25 cm of snow could fall.

Banff National Park is under a snowfall warning. That area is expecting to receive 10 to 20 cm of snow, although the snowfall itself is anticipated to be heavier.
