Punjab Congress chief Amarinder Singh Raja Warring today met Balkaur Singh, father of late singer Sidhu Moosewala, and congratulated him on his newborn son.

Sidhu Moose Wala’s parents, Balkaur Singh and Charan Singh, have welcomed a baby boy, nearly two years after the Punjabi singer was shot dead.

The late singer’s father had shared the post on Facebook and wrote, “With the blessings of millions of souls who love Shubdeep, the Almighty has put Shubh's younger brother in our bag. With the blessings of Waheguru, the family is healthy and thankful to all the well-wishers for their immense love (sic).”

He also shared a photo with his newborn and a portrait of the singer.

Balkaur, however, had earlier denied all speculations about the pregnancy with a post on Facebook.

As the news broke out, Punjab Congress Chief met Sidhu Moosewala's father to congratulate him on the baby boy's birth.

"Met with Balkaur Sidhu ji and conveyed my heartfelt congratulations to him on the arrival of his newborn son. May Waheguru ji always bless the newborn and the entire Sidhu family with good health and joy," he wrote on X and shared pictures of his meeting with the late singer's father.

Singer-turned-politician Sidhu Moose Wala was 28 when he was shot dead in Punjab's Mansa district on May 29, 2022. Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar, a wanted criminal, had claimed responsibility for the murder in a Facebook post.

It was in the same year that he had contested the Punjabi Assembly Elections on a Congress ticket from Mansa but lost.

Sidhu Moose Wala had gained fame for composing and producing his tracks. He made his debut in the music industry with song 'G Wagon', and quickly gained popularity with a string of successful albums.
