Rory McIlroy broke the heart of Scotland on Sunday, but there was at least one fan at the Genesis Scottish Open who was happy to see him win.

Robert MacIntyre had been the leader in the clubhouse and looked poised to become just the second Scot to win his national championship in the 51-year history of the event. But McIlroy birdied the final two holes in difficult conditions to edge the 26-year-old lefty by a shot and spoil a party the likes of which we saw last month when Canadian Nick Taylor captured the Canadian Open.

If you were a Scot, it was a tough finish to witness. Unless, of course, you happened to bet on McIlroy. Such was the case for one man, who happily let Rory know he'd won 300 pounds thanks to his victory. And McIlroy chirped back with a hilarious response. Check it out:

Well played, Rory. Both down the stretch and in that moment.

McIlroy did, in fact, win "a wee bit more," $1.575 million to be exact. And to be more exact, it sounds like the fan then responded with "Let me buy you a pint!" instead of "I'm happy for ya, mate!" as the caption says. Rory probably should have accepted, because after how Sunday ended he won't be too popular in any Scottish pubs for a while.
