Olivia Rodrigo Channels Female Rage During "SNL" Performance ...

Olivia Rodrigo held nothing back on Saturday Night Live! this weekend when she performed renditions of two of her songs.

The singer/ songwriter was a musical guest on the late-night comedy sketch show on December 9, alongside host Adam Driver. For her two performances, Rodrigo chose her songs “vampire” and “all-American bitch” from her sophomore album, GUTS. Kicking off her first performance with “vampire,” Rodrigo stripped down the emotional song by performing the single on a piano with no background singers or other instruments.

The 20-year-old musician looked chic during the first performance, wearing an embellished halter dress and pulling her hair into a slicked-back bun. Rodrigo also wore rings that spelled out GUTS.

For her final performance, which aired toward the end of the episode, Rodrigo kicked things up a notch and brought more rebellious energy to the stage to match her second song. Sitting behind a large dining room table, Rodrigo began singing “all-American bitch” while dancers dressed as maids danced around the table.

During the song's bridge, Rodrigo, who was dressed in a pink mini-dressed with knee-high tights, climbed on top of the table and stomped on the cakes that were placed there. Rodrigo perfectly emulated the female rage that spews out of the song by smearing cake on herself and even taking a knife at one point and stabbing another.

This is Olivia Rodrigo's second time performing on SNL — her first was in 2021 when she performed her hit songs, “driver's license,” and “good 4 u.” The artist's first album SOUR was nominated for seven Grammys, winning three.

Rodrigo's second album was released in September to critical and commercial success. The young artist received widespread acclaim for her album — including from people outside of her own generation. In an interview with PEOPLE following the album's release, Rodrigo said she was “excited by the way that people are getting behind artists that normally would be deemed for young people.” She's been nominated for six Grammy awards for her work on GUTS, including album of the year.
