Winterhawks Announce 2024 WHL Championship Series Schedule

Portland, Ore. - The Portland Winterhawks will face the Moose Jaw Warriors in the 2024 WHL Championship Series presented by Nutrien, with the series opening this Friday and Saturday on home ice in Portland.

The Winterhawks captured the Western Conference Championship following sweeps against the Victoria Royals and Everett Silvertips and a 4-2 series win over the Prince George Cougars. The Moose Jaw Warriors won the Eastern Conference Championship in a Game 7 OT win against Saskatoon on Tuesday.

Portland will host Games 1 and 2 of the series and Games 6 and 7 (if necessary) as the series is contested in a 2-3-2 format. Tickets to Winterhawks home games are available through Ticketmaster below and by calling our ticket office at 503-236-4925. Tickets to Moose Jaw games are available through the Warriors box office.

The U.S Division and Western Conference Champion Winterhawks only faces Moose Jaw once this year, dropping a tightly contested 4-3 game on February 28 at the Coliseum. Veterans forwards Nate Danielson, Jack O'Brien and Gabe Klassen each scored for the Hawks in the previous meeting, while NHL-drafted skaters Jagger Firkus, Denton Mateychuk, Matthew Savoie (2) provided the offense for the Warriors in the Rose City.

Portland and Moose Jaw have never met in a best-of-seven WHL Championship series.

Games will be played at Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Portland and the Moose Jaw Events Centre in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. The full schedule for the WHL Championship Series presented by Nutrien is below.
