Hot Mic Picks Up Knicks Star Josh Hart Telling Pacer Legend ...

The legend of Josh Hart continues to grow.

During the waning moments of an impressive come-from-behind playoff victory over the Indiana Pacers, the chant of “Fuck You, Reggie” could be heard clearly by anyone watching the TNT broadcast.

Yes, it is fair to say that Madison Square Garden was packed with Knicks fans who are STILL triggered by Reggie Miller’s wildly impressive performance from 25 years ago when he impossibly scored 8 points in 9 seconds to defeat the Knicks during a 1999 playoff game. It still hurts to write that.

So, as the Knicks wrapped up an impressive playoff victory despite missing many starters due to injury, the “fuck you” chorus began. It was obviously ignored by the broadcasting team, but they could not overlook Hart’s approaching them during free throws to make sure Miller knew what the Knicks fans were chanting.

“I think they said ‘fuck you,'” Hart said to Miller, after which play-by-play announcer Brian Anderson said, “Uh, oh. Josh Hart coming over and let Reggie have it” with a chuckle.

To be fair, this was all good-natured trash talk, and Miller’s continued claim that he “owns” this city, as he said in a pre-game interview, is the sort of fun-spirited braggadocio that makes him the perfect villain for Knicks fans.

Since joining the Knicks, Hart has become a fan favorite because of his gritty play, incredible rebounding, and all-around hustle. He also co-hosts a podcast with his teammate Jalen Brunson, which is smart and funny and only adds to the legend of these two “Nova Knicks.”
