Billie Eilish on Masturbation: 'People Should Be Jerking It'

Billie Eilish didn’t go to college, but that hasn’t stopped her from advanced pursuit of her passions. “I should have a Ph.D. in masturbation,” she told Rolling Stone for the magazine’s latest cover. Eilish espoused self-love after admitting that “sex” is one of her favorite ways to decompress. “I think it’s such a frowned-upon thing to talk about, and I think that should change,” she said. “You asked me what I do to decompress? That shit can really, really save you sometimes, just saying. Can’t recommend it more, to be real.” Eilish was promoting her new album Hit Me Hard and Soft, and there is a tie-in: The track “Lunch” is partially about her first experience with a woman and when she “realized I wanted my face in a vagina.”

Not that you even need a partner, of course. “TMI, but self-pleasure is an enormous, enormous part of my life, and a huge, huge help for me,” Eilish continued. “People should be jerking it, man.” Like masturbation needs more good PR — but Eilish went on to specifically talk about how it gives her self-confidence and helps her body image. Later, Eilish admitted to Rolling Stone that she’s “overshared her whole life.” But come on, everybody’s doing it!
