Some standout men of the evening — for better or worse — included charming keyboard player Aaron Bryant, first impression rose winner Brayden Bowers, and medical sales director Spencer Storbeck, who took Charity aside during the cocktail party to tell her he’s a dad.

Who Is Spencer Storbeck on The Bachelorette 2023?

“This single dad’s got humor and heart. As father to a young son, Spencer brings a lot of life experience to the table, including having the courage to change careers and pursue his master’s degree. When he’s not talking to medical professionals in his sales job, Spencer enjoys riding his bike along the ocean. Spencer kicked things off with a memorable limo entrance that started with him admitting he was terrified and ended with him asking her to kick him in the nuts. After a somewhat awkward intro — thanks in part to some choice background music from The Bachelorette team — Spencer told Charity his main hobby was martial arts.

Charity asked if he could teach her any moves, to which Spencer replied, “Alright, so this is a somewhat dicey move. The big thing here is if anyone, you know, gets out of line with you, you just wanna kick them right in the nuts. And we’re gonna practice.”

As Spencer bit his knuckles and winced in anticipation of Charity’s leg making contact with his…you know, she asked, “Oh god what’s happening?” and explained, “I’m not gonna kick you.”

Visibly relieved, Spencer thanked her for sparing him, and Charity playfully said, “There’s no way I’m doing that, are you kidding? I would never do that and I don’t have much freedom in this dress. We’ll save that for when I actually need to do it.”

Spencer assured her she’d never have a reason to kick him in the nuts and headed inside, but his alone time with Charity wasn’t over. “I feel more anxious than I thought I would. I think the stakes are higher for me because I have a son. I haven’t told her yet. That could potentially be a dealbreaker for Charity,” Spencer told cameras before pulling Charity aside later in the night.

After he told her he’s a dad, Charity said, “That’s beautiful. That means you really sacrificed a lot being here.” Spencer explained how scared he was to tell her, and she added, “I think it’s beautiful that you’re here. I know that’s a very important part of your life, so I need to know that and I want to know more. I know it’s scary for you, but I’m all ears and I’m open to hearing about that.” He walked away from the conversation feeling like he could tap dance on Cloud 9, and later that night he received the final rose at the rose ceremony. So it looks like there’s more Spencer still to come!
