Several key routes into and out of the downtown core reopened Thursday evening after an incident in the East Village  resulted in closures for much of the day.

Just before 6 p.m., Calgary police said that all of the closed roads were open again to traffic.

The Reconciliation Bridge, the Fourth Avenue flyover and the Fifth Avenue flyover were closed in both directions to vehicle and pedestrian traffic, officials said in a release early Thursday morning.

Police said the incident has been resolved. There were no injuries and there was no risk to the public.
