Ryan Reynolds enjoyed quality time with daughter James on Sunday as they attended Wrexham's FA Cup match against Sheffield United.

The Hollywood star, 46, who co-owns the club, watched on as the non-League side came within seconds of knocking out Championship Sheffield United at the Racecourse Ground, eventually earning a replay.

Prior to the match starting, Ryan took his eldest child on a tour around the stands, with the doting father-of-three then taking her onto the pitch.

Out and about: Ryan Reynolds enjoyed quality time with daughter James on Sunday as they attended Wrexham's FA Cup match against Sheffield United

Ryan - who also shares daughters Inez, six, and Betty, two, with wife Blake Lively, and has a fourth child on the way, seemed in great spirits as he enjoyed some bonding time with James.

While it was an intense match, James at one point seemed more interested in what was going on in their seats, finding a cap that she cheekily chucked upon her father's head.

Blake, 35, who stayed home in Los Angeles, revealed she was watching the match from across the pond but was more interested in seeing her husband than the game.

Sharing a snap of her TV screen, she quipped: 'I bought espnt today. Just to watch my husband experience crippling anxiety live. Worth it. X

'If you're not watching this insane @wrexham afc game right now you're missing out on these vibes. They' re playing a team 3 leagues higher. And currently winning. Life makes no sense.'

Ryan later described the match as 'one of the most exciting things I’ve ever seen' as he took to Twitter after full time dawned in Wales.

Loving life: Ryan - who also shares daughters Inez, six, and Betty, two, with wife Blake Lively, seemed in great spirits as he enjoyed some bonding time with James

'When @RMcElhenney (co-owner and fellow Hollywood actor Rob McElhenney) and I got into this it all felt so impossible. But impossible is Wrexham’s favourite colour', he shared.

'That was one of the most exciting things I’ve EVER seen. Thank you each and every Wrexham supporter who came out and aimed your heart at that pitch tonight.'

The Welsh side found themselves behind within two minutes of the game when Oli McBurnie netted for the visitors, and faced a potential long evening ahead.

But James Jones levelled at the start of the second half and Tom O'Connor struck to put the hosts ahead, though Oliver Norwood's goal minutes later squared things up again.

Top scorer Paul Mullin appeared to send his side on their way to the fifth round when he poked home on 86 minutes, but John Egan rescued a point for the Blades, and the two sides will now contest a replay.

Cute couple: Blake and Ryan announced they were expecting their fourth child back in September (pictured in November 2022)

Ryan went on BBC to speak about the impact his takeover has had on the people of Wrexham, and described the takeover as 'the greatest experience' of his life as he tries to steer the club in to the football league.

'We looked at a bunch of different clubs but Wrexham just spoke to us', he added.

'The club was already perfect, it just needed a bit of awareness. We’re not here to make decisions on the pitch. I look at this place like a church. It's got a special place in my heart, and it's spreading across the world.

'The plan is to get to the Premier League, If it's theoretically possible then why not? That is the goal. Realistically the fact that we’re in this church, if I were Sheffield United, I’d be taking this game very seriously.'

Delighted: The Hollywood actor shared his thoughts on social media after full time in Wales

Wrexham will play their next match on Saturday when they take on Altrincham but as Blake's due date inches closer it's not known if Ryan will attend.

The couple announced they were expecting their fourth child back in September and earlier this month, Blake gave fans a look at her burgeoning baby bump.

While Ryan has been keeping busy with his football club, he recently revealed that he is stepping away from acting for a bit to focus on fatherhood.

Ryan said: 'The biggest thing for me, and I know you have kids as well, is that I don’t want to miss this time with my kids.

'When I’m shooting a film, I’m oftentimes in Europe, I’m away, there are incredibly long hours, it’s a ton of constant, kind of requirement to be there the whole time, not just because I’m performing but I’m also generally producing and writing on my movies as well.'

He added: 'I really enjoy being a presenter dad. I love taking them to school in the morning, I love picking them up.'
