It looks like another blustery weekend ahead for parts of B.C.’s South Coast.
Environment and Climate Change Canada posted a wind warning early Friday morning, saying that wind gusts of up to 90 kilometres an hour were possible for parts of Metro Vancouver, Greater Victoria, the Southern Gulf Islands and East Vancouver Island.
The federal weather agency says the wind gusts will begin overnight and continue into early Saturday morning, and warns that high winds could cause tree branches to break leading to power outages.

The strongest winds will begin around midnight and end by early Saturday morning with peak wind gusts of 90 km/h expected over exposed coastal locations, the agency said.
Metro Vancouver residents near Boundary Bay will experience the strongest winds.
More rain is also in the forecast overnight, but it’s unlikely to be as heavy as last weekend’s atmospheric river, which led to the deaths of three people.
On Saturday and Sunday, expect a slight chance of showers in Metro Vancouver.
