The winner of this year's Vancouver Sun Run is Thomas Fafard, from Repentigny, Quebec in a time of 28:45.

The 2024 edition of The Vancouver Sun Run had its in-person race on Sunday. Thomas Fafard was the first man and Glynis Sim the first woman to cross the finish line in the 10K race, while Leo Sammarelli won the wheelchair race. This year there were 45,517 participants, the largest turnout since 2014.

And the winners are…

Thomas Fafard of Repentigny, Que., has won the 2024 Vancouver Sun Run in a time of 28 minutes and 45 seconds. In second place was Thomas Broatch of Vancouver with a time of 28:56. Turner Wiley of Issaquah, Wash., came in third with a time of 29 minutes.

The fastest female was Glynis Sim of Vancouver in 32:17, followed by Leslie Sexton of Vancouver in 32:25 (she was the fastest female in 2022 and 2023), and Andrea Seccafien of Guelph, Ont., in 33:02.

Leo Sammarelli from Vancouver has won the 10 km wheelchair division in 31:08. In second place was Balraj Partridge of Richmond in a time of 38:56, followed by James Hustvedt of North Vancouver in 47:21.
