The UFC is at the RAC Center in Perth, Australia, for tonight’s UFC 305 pay-per-view card. In the main event, UFC middleweight champion Dricus du Plessis looks to defend his title against two-time former 185-pound champion Israel Adesanya. In the evening’s co-headlining contest, Kai Kara-France faces recent UFC flyweight title challenger Steve Erceg.

The main card for UFC 305 streams on ESPN+ PPV following prelims on ESPN and early prelims on ESPN+.

Du Plessis has had a quick rise in the UFC. He joined the promotion in 2020 and has put together a 7-0 record with five stoppages. The 30-year-old knocked out former UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker in a title elimination bout in July 2023 before taking the title middleweight crown from Sean Strickland in January 2024. UFC 305 marks Du Plessis’ first attempted defense of the UFC middleweight belt.

Adesanya, who is the No. 2 fighter in the official UFC middleweight rankings, has not stepped into the Octagon since dropping the title to Strickland in a one-sided unanimous decision loss in September at UFC 293. That loss ended the 35-year-old’s second title reign. Adesanya’s first run with UFC gold lasted from October 2019 when he, as the interim champ, knocked out Robert Whittaker in a title unification bout. He defended the strap five times before losing to Alex Pereira by knockout in November 2022. Adesanya regained the title with a knockout of Pereira in April 2023. The Strickland matchup was his first attempted defense of his second run as UFC middleweight titleholder.

Kara France enters tonight’s fight card as the No. 4 ranked fighter in the UFC flyweight division, while Erceg checks in at No. 7 in the official promotional rankings.

UFC 305 results, winners and losers will be updated live throughout tonight’s pay-per-view card.
