Tyreek Hill voiced his commitment to the Miami Dolphins when asked Wednesday about trade rumors involving the standout wide receiver, telling reporters, “We’ve got a beautiful situation here.”
The eight-time Pro Bowler had just four catches for 23 yards and no touchdowns in Monday’s loss to the Tennessee Titans as the Dolphins continued to struggle without injured star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. Hill also made a cryptic post on X on Wednesday referencing “trade news,” prompting public questions about his future with the team. But Hill emphasized he’s happy in Miami.
“You know what, man, I’m just focused on right here and right now,” Hill said. “We’ve got a beautiful team here and I want to be a part of it.”
“We’ve got a great situation here,” he continued. “My family loves it, I enjoy it, the weather’s great, the fans are great. So, we’ve got a beautiful situation here, man. Obviously, my parents always taught me (to) control the controllables. I only can control so much.
“That being said, we all know the NFL is a business. Whatever happens, happens, you know what I’m saying. Moving forward, I would love to be here. I love being here. I love the guys.”

Last season’s league-leading receiver in yards (1,799) and receiving touchdowns (13), Hill’s production has slowed with Tagovailoa’s absence. Hill has 17 catches for 217 yards and a touchdown through four games. He’s passed 200 yards in a game three times in his career, which began with the Kansas City Chiefs — the team he helped win a Super Bowl before joining the Dolphins in 2022.
There might not be an immediate production boost for Hill, either. Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel said Tuesday the team is planning to start backup QB Tyler Huntley again for their game against the New England Patriots (1-3) on Sunday. Huntley started against the Titans with backup Skylar Thompson injured, and struggled in the loss, finishing with 96 yards on 14-of-22 passing.
