Two people fall on TTC tracks at Sherbourne station during altercation

A male suspect has been taken to hospital after jumping onto the subway tracks at Sherbourne station while allegedly fleeing from police.

Police were called to the station around 12 p.m. on Friday for reports of an assault.

It is alleged a man was assaulting a woman on subway platform. He fled from police and jumped onto tracks. He was then taken to hospital.

Police previously said two people were having an altercation when both of them fell onto the tracks.

TTC Service on Line 2 has been suspended between St. George and Woodbine stations. Shuttle buses are currently running.
