Taylor Swift chose to pay homage to her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, at the final Eras Tour show as the 34-year-old pop star closed out her 18-month-long tour on December 8 in Vancouver on Sunday.
With over two billion dollars in revenue, the marathon review of Swift's career is a defining moment in her professional venture and her personal life, and it was a nod to the latter that she decided to make on stage.
Taylor Swift gets emotional in a very crowded concert and admits that she never wanted to end the Eras Tour
During her performance of the 1989 album, the popstar chose to wear a glittery gold top and a red skirt which mimicked the colors of the Kansas City Chiefs, who Kelce plays for, in what fans suspect is a nod to her boyfriend.
One user wrote via X.com, formerly Twitter, "Oh she's so in love."
A second added, "Real lover til the end, I respect it."
And a third commented, "It's adorable."
Taylor closed out Eras Tour with "Karma is the guy on the Chiefs".
Perhaps the pair collaborated too, as Kelce appeared to make his own tribute to Swift before he took to the field at the Arrowhead Stadium to take on the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, December 8.
The Week 14 clash saw the Chiefs run out 19-17 winners, but fans turned their attention to Kelce's Christmas decorations in his suite as one of them appeared to resemble the Cruel Summer singer.
It could be their way of staying close to each other despite being split by 1969 miles as they both earned successive in their respective, and very different, careers.
When could Swift tour again?Fans might expect that after concluding such a marathon effort at the BC Place in British Colombia that Swift might want to put her feet up, dip out of the limelight and enjoy living life a regular run-of-the-mill person.
But that might not be the case as sources suggest she could go on tour as soon as 2026, although there is one key catch to that.
"Besides a delay between 1989 and Reputation [albums] and a huge increase in output due to the pandemic," Ari Perez, a professor of Civil Engineering at the Quinnipiac University, told Newsweek. "Taylor has worked in two-year cycles.
"That would schedule TS12 for release in 2026, with a tour following up shortly thereafter either in late 2026 or in 2027, depending on when in the year the album is released. Past performance does not guarantee future tours, however."
