At 8:17 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time Wednesday, Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for South Central Alberta. Extra care and attention should be exercised in and around the following localities: Clive, Alix, Eckville and Lacombe. Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a very dangerous thunderstorm capable of producing damaging wind gusts, baseball size or greater hail and heavy rain.

At 8:01 p.m. MDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm that is possibly producing a tornado. Damaging winds, large hail and locally intense rainfall are also possible. The thunderstorm that is possibly producing a tornado is located just west of Lacombe, and is heading to the east at 30 km/h. Baseball-sized hail or larger is also possible.
This is a dangerous and potentially life-threatening situation. Tornado warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are likely to produce or are producing tornadoes.

The following localities are included in the warning: Rimbey, Crestomere, Ponoka, Eckville and Lacombe. Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm that is possibly producing a tornado. Damaging winds, large hail and locally intense rainfall are also possible.

One is located about 10 km north of Bentley, and the other is located about 10 km north of Eckville.
