“I want to see both Barbie and Oppenheimer,” Cruise said. “I’ll see them opening weekend. Friday, I’ll see Oppenheimer first and then Barbie on Saturday.”
As a champion of the theatrical experience, Cruise has been praising some of the summer’s biggest films while he promotes the upcoming seventh Mission: Impossible entry. Last week, Cruise congratulated Harrison Ford on 40 years of Indiana Jones ahead of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. Cruise also praised Oppenheimer and Barbie, which open later this summer. Cruise posed for photos alongside Dead Reckoning Part One director Christopher McQuarrie with tickets to each film.
In response to Cruise’s tweet, Barbie star Margot Robbie and director Greta Gerwig posed for photos with their tickets to see Dead Reckoning Part One, Dial of Destiny, and Oppenheimer. Shared from the Barbie official Twitter account, the caption reads, “Mission: Accepted.“
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is now in theaters, and Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One opens on July 12. Nine days later, Oppenheimer and Barbie open in theaters on July 21.
