Notably, Bay of Quinte MPP Todd Smith and Stephen Lecce have swapped roles, with Smith taking over as the new minister of education while Lecce takes over the energy and electrification portfolio.

Ford and Lt.-Gov. Edith Dumont swore in the cabinet in a closed ceremony.

The legislature rose a week early with MPPs sent back to their ridings for an extended summer break.
