Tim Hortons, a popular Canadian coffee chain, is looking to expand in the greater Philadelphia region.
According to the Philadelphia Business Journal, the franchise has already begun opening new locations in South Jersey and Delaware, and a spokesperson said the Philadelphia area will become a bigger focus in 2024.
It is currently searching for franchisees with experience in quick-service and fast-casual restaurants to sign development agreements.
The brand has more than 3,000 stores in North America and more than 640 locations in several states across the Eastern and Central United States, the majority of which are in New York, Michigan and Ohio.
From the Journal:
The franchisee fee for a Tim Hortons starts at $50,000 for a 20-year term, with a 6% royalty fee and 4% advertising fee, according to Ferranti. Although the ideal franchisee net worth depends on the number of locations the operator signs on for, for a single location the brand looks for someone with a $1 million net worth and $500,000 in liquid assets.
