Campbell River Angel Tree Society and local Tim Hortons owners help to make Christmas merrier for local youth.
On Dec. 4, local Tim Hortons owners Jaice and Rachelle Granson and Darcy and Danielle Purcell presented the Campbell River Angel Tree Society with a cheque for $4,751.63. The funds were raised as part of Tim Hortons holiday smile cookie campaign, which ran Nov. 13-19.
The funds will go towards helping the Angel Tree Society. The Angel Tree supports local families who have significant financial challenges making the holiday season extra difficult. With the help of the community, the society provides gifts of necessities and wishes for children to have under the tree at Christmas.
