The Traitors

Hi, hello, the RuPaul's Drag Race cast has entered the chat to clear up some post-Emmys rumors. After Drag Race won the Emmy for Outstanding Reality Competition Series five years in a row (!), the fan-favorite show was beat out by Peacock's The Traitors at last night's ceremony. A correspondent for The Hollywood Reporter posted a clip of the Drag Race girls allegedly walking out during Alan Cumming's acceptance speech, leading fans to believe they left the show altogether.

But! The Drag Race cast had none ???? of ???? that ???? as they took to social media and explained what really went down. "It was a commercial break and the girls wanted a drink," Plane Jane wrote in response. "We all stayed until the end of the ceremony. Take your pseudo journalism elsewhere." Amanda Tori Meating added, "It was a commercial break are we allowed to go piss girl."

The Hollywood Reporter's correspondent hasn't deleted his clip, but he *did* confirm that the girls stayed for the rest of the awards ceremony to Drag Race fans who were defending the stars.

As for Alan and The Traitors, the host showed his appreciation to the Television Academy as he accepted the award. "We are so grateful because we are a new show," Alan—who also won Outstanding Host For A Reality Or Reality Competition Program at the Creative Arts Emmys—said during his acceptance speech. "And you guys, you know when you like something, you tend to stick to it, which is a good quality, but we appreciate it all the more."

"I also want to thank Scotland, I owe it everything and it's such a beautiful costar," he continued, referring to the setting of season 2. "I also want to thank Holland, because I don't think we thank Holland enough, because so many of these shows, like The Traitors, were first made up in Holland, and they obviously have something in the water, so let's find it, let's drink it and all of America's problems will be solved."

Well then! It seems like there's no bad blood between the two queens that stand before us, Drag Race and The Traitors.
