Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave has filed for divorce from Edwin Arroyave.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum announced the decision Saturday, November 2, more than a decade after she and Edwin exchanged "I dos."

“After a great deal of care and consideration, I have made the difficult decision to file for divorce,” she wrote on Instagram. “My priority is my children and ensuring that every care is taken with their privacy and wellbeing throughout this new chapter. Making a public statement is not something I wanted to do but in an effort to protect my family from undue speculation and rumors, I felt being open, honest and vulnerable was the best path forward.”

Teddi and Edwin share three children: 12-year-old daughter Slate, 10-year-old son Cruz, and 4-year-old daughter Dove. Edwin also has a 15-year-old girl, Isabella, from a previous relationship. 

As of press time, Edwin has not publicly commented on the filing.

Teddi's announcement came just months after her and Edwin's 13th wedding anniversary. The All In founder celebrated the special day with a sweet Instagram post alluding to the ups and downs of their relationship. 

"From Paris to the Riviera Maya, it’s been years of discovery, laughter, tears, growth, and companionship," she wrote in the July 4 Instagram. "While not perfect, we’ve put in the work to make our marriage what it is today. And I wouldn’t have it any other way."

Although Teddi has yet to provide details on what prompted her decision, the Indiana native has been quite open about her past marital struggles. During an October 2023 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Teddi said her relationship had reached a low point during her first year (2017) as a Housewife.

"I 99 percent thought our marriage wasn't going to make it," she said.

Teddi made similar comments in the March 2023 episode of Two Ts in a Pod, saying she began filming RHOBH while contemplating divorce. 

“I remember my first day [of filming], I was honestly, like ‘F–ck, at what point do I tell everybody that I’m getting a divorce? Like, when do I do this?’” she recalled. “We are at our worst absolute phase, because — truthfully, for us — it was really about a power struggle.”

Teddi said she initially considered her and Edwin to be “equals,” but felt their dynamic change years into their marriage.

“I rode horses, I was competitive, and I was all of these things. Then I couldn’t get pregnant naturally, I did all these IVFs,” she said. “Then, all of a sudden, he was in charge of our finances, and I had never been that. I never not had my own money, I’ve been working since I was 17. Then I just started hating him… Anything would freaking set me off.”

Edwin backed Teddi’s account, saying he expected to split from Teddi once RHOBH Season 8 had wrapped.

“So my thought was, we could get through the first season… and then I’m out,” he said before taking the blame for the marriage problems. “It was me. I had googles… I was ready to leave everything. You don’t see, but now I see.”
