Drivers can expect lengthy delays near B.C. Place, Rogers Arena and Concord Pacific Place.

TransLink is providing extra service across bus, SkyTrain, and SeaBus on all three concert nights with a special Rogers West Coast Express ‘Midnight’ Train on Saturday.

B.C. Ferries is also cautioning travellers to be wary of delays and congestion. Spokesperson Sheila Reynolds said it’s anticipated to be significantly busier during peak sailing times, particularly at the Swartz Bay and Tsawwassen terminals.

Passengers with reservations can expect to sail as scheduled, she said. However, those traveling without a reservation should prepare for longer waits.

“We recommend planning travel during off-peak times, and around routes or times with available reservation space,” she said, adding that walking on board is a good way to ensure travel.

B.C. Ferries has added extra sailings on Friday in both directions between Tsawwassen and Swartz Bay at 5 a.m. and 11 p.m. There will also be additional late night-sailing: One on Sunday from Swartz Bay to Tsawwassen at 11 p.m. and from Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay at 1 a.m. Monday.

Harbour Air reports a strong demand for flights to downtown Vancouver this weekend. The floatplane company said it has also added extra flights, and there are still some seats available.

Various concert-related road closures and passenger zones will be in effect in Vancouver from noon until midnight on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, city staff said in a news release Thursday.

Road closures and local access:

• Full closure of the 700 and 800 blocks of Beatty Street between Smithe Street and West Georgia Street • Full closure of Pacific Boulevard from the Cambie Bridge off-ramp to Pat Quinn Way • Full closure of northbound Cambie Bridge off-ramp to Pacific Boulevard eastbound • Full closure of the 100 block of Robson Street between Cambie Street and Beatty Street

Staff say access to residences, hotels and parkades in the area will be maintained at all times.

There are also notable traffic work this weekend, including reduced lanes on the Cambie Bridge from noon until midnight daily for ongoing deck repair.

Oak Street, between West 64th and 70th Avenues, will also have only one lane open in each direction for sewer upgrade work and scheduled crane activity on Saturday.
