Glen Powell Calls Sydney Sweeney a "Badass" After Body Shamers ...

PSA: If you’re ever thinking about body shaming anyone, don’t, especially if that person is Sydney Sweeney. Because you won’t just have to deal with her, you’ll have to deal with all the celebs in her corner, who rushed to Sydney's defense on Instagram after her body shamers went viral.

Sydney responded to the trolls on Instagram this weekend with a compilation of gross comments about her body (seemingly taken from the comments section of The Daily Mail) paired with a video of her training for her upcoming role playing boxer Christy Martin, sending a clear message to the haters. And her celeb pals like Glen Powell and Lili Reinhart were quick to support her in the comments.

“You’re such a badass. This movie is gonna be ????,” commented her Anyone But You co-star Glen. Aw, we love to see onscreen couples (and rumored-to-be-dating couples) supporting each other IRL. Meanwhile, Glen’s Twisters co-star Katy O’Brian, who is also set to star in the Christy Martin biopic, quipped, “Let’s get em ????.”

Sydney also received support from her fellow young actors. “It’s always wild to see people publicly out-themselves as pieces of shit with comments like that,” Lili wrote in the comments. “You look incredible and your dedication to your project is very inspiring.”

Outer Banks’ Madelyn Cline also weighed in, writing simply, “I truly love it here.”

Other celebs like Quinta Brunson, Adria Arjona (who starred in Hit Man with Glen), Madison Bailey, and Phoebe Dynevor all left supportive comments. As did Sydney’s Madame Web co-star Isabel Merced, who wrote, “The thing is these people would never say it in person. Too scared. But if they ever did? Best believe it’s hands ????”

ICYMI, this all started late last week on December 12, when paparazzi photos emerged of Sydney wearing a swimsuit outside her beachfront property in Florida (aka, perfectly normal behavior). Creepy and invasive that photos were taken when she was in her own home? Yes, but sadly nothing too out of the ordinary for the tabloids. This would have just been your run-of-the-mill invasion of privacy if it wasn’t for the body shamers that came rolling in—first in the comments section of The Daily Mail, and then on social media.

“All women are catfishes. The quest is, to what degree,” wrote one user on X (fka Twitter), alongside the paparazzi photos. The tweet has since been tagged as Hateful Conduct by the site, but not before hitting 34.7 million views and kickstarting an entire online debate over what a human woman looks like.

Well, spoiler alert: they look like normal humans, not whatever perfection these trolls have in their heads. Not even celebs walk around with professional lighting and glam all the time. I hope this helps!
