However, there is a huge cry from the Strasbourg players and the crowd for a penalty, claiming that the ball had touched Bitshiabu’s hands inside the box. There is a VAR check and it is just a corner.

Another brilliant bit of link-up play by Messi and Mbappe, as the latter made his way inside the box. Mbappe dances his way past a couple of challenges and almost takes on the entire defence by himself, before Doukoure clears the ball.

Strasbourg looks to create another attack. The ball is played to Diallo, who goes for a shot from distance. But his effort is blocked by Ramos.

Diallo recieves a long ball and chests it down, showing exquisite control. He is under pressure from two PSG players but still gets his shot away. It is solid shot but Donnarumma makes a good save.

Diarra shows good feet to beat his marker and send the ball to Sanson. Sanson shoots at goal from the edge of the PSG box but Danilo makes the block.

PSG shows some snappy passing to open up the Strasbourg defence. Messi seemed to have sent Mbappe clear with a nicely-threaded through ball. But, the move stops after an Mbappe is flagged offside.

It is a poor back pass by Bitshiabu and Diallo pounces on the loose ball. He has an open net but the angle is tight as he tried to poke the ball. However, his effort looked wide but Ramos took no risks and cleared the ball.

PSG has a freekick and Messi is standing over it.

He plays a short pass to Mbappe, who sends a cross inside the box, with Ramos being the intended target. Ramos jumped for the ball but play stops after the assistant referee raises his flag for offside.

Messi and Mbappe link up as the former chips a ball towards Mbappe who gets behind the Strasbourg defence. Mbappe’s first touch disappoints and Sels shows brave goalkeeping as he comes off his line to collect the ball.
