Villa are sailing towards the magic 40-point mark themselves and look lively in 11th, sitting just behind the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool at the midway mark.

Emery’s men emerged as 2-0 victors at Tottenham Hotspur when they last played away on New Year’s Day, with a chance to seal three straight road wins in the league for the first time since late 2020.
