Slash cancels July 27 show at Caesars Windsor

Slash has cancelled his upcoming appearance at Caesars Windsor due to “unforeseen circumstances.”

The guitarist was slated to bring his solo S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival tour for a performance July 27 at The Colosseum.

Officials with Caesars Windsor announced the cancellation Monday. No further details for the cancellation were given.

S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival tour — which stands for Solidarity, Engagement, Restore, Peace, Equality N’ Tolerance — kicked off July 5 in Bonner, Montana, following the release of Slash’s sixth solo album, Orgy of the Damned, on May 17.

The Grammy-winning, British-American guitarist and songwriter, who is also a member of the band Guns N’ Roses, was to be joined by Keb’Mo, ZZ Ward and Robert Randolph, for a celebration of blues music on The Colosseum stage.

S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival supports several charities, including the Equal Justice Initiative, Know Your Rights Camp, The Greenlining Institute and War Child, ensuring that one dollar from every ticket sold goes directly to those causes.

The organizations are dedicated to advancing justice, equity and the well-being of communities around the world.

Refunds are available from the original point of purchase.

For tickets purchased at the Caesars Windsor box office, bring photo identification, proof of purchase and tickets to the box office Friday or Saturday from noon to 8 p.m. or on a show day from noon to 10 p.m.

Refunds are available for 30 days from the cancellation notice.

If tickets were purchased online or by phone through Ticketmaster, refunds will be automatically processed using the method of payment used to purchase.
