Environment Canada's warning stated, "Intense lightning is likely, and tornados are possible with any thunderstorm that develops. Powerful winds are possible just ahead and south of the thunderstorm."

Giant hail can smash windows, destroy property and vehicles and cause life-threatening injury. Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and overturn large vehicles.
