The Englishman scored and provided an assist for Arda Guler in Montilivi, as Kylian Mbappe netted his team's other goal after latching onto a fantastic pass from Luka Modric.
It wasn't all good news for Madrid, however, despite the win and moving within two points of bitter rival FC Barcelona in the title race.
In the second half, Ancelotti lost two players to injuries in Bellingham and Ferland Mendy, which had echoes of a chaotic 45 minutes against Osasuna last month.
Following the Girona clash, the Italian provided an update on the pair and first said that Bellingham "is fine".
"He was a little tired, he preferred not to take risks in the last minutes. Let's evaluate what Mendy has, it looks like something muscular. Mendy will not be in Bergamo," Ancelotti stated, regarding an upcoming Champions League fixture with Atalanta.
Rodrygo was a surprise omission from the matchday squad this weekend, and Ancelotti explained that happened because he "wasn't feeling well".
"We preferred to leave him in Valdebebas working. I think he will be there on Tuesday," Ancelotti said, against referencing Atalanta.
Ancelotti agreed that his number 5 is 'back'. "Bellingham scored his fifth goal in a row. He's back, and in good shape," Ancelotti said.
"Today Mbappe scored too, like Arda. Brahim did a good job... We have to hold on to the moment, little by little we are coming back. We had to hold on at the beginning of the game, because they pressed well," Ancelotti added.
Many were surprised that breakout center back Raul Asencio was benched in favor of Aurelien Tchouameni, but Ancelotti said that this was because of the "short recovery period" between Wednesday's defeat at Athletic Club and this weekend's trip to Catalonia.
"It took him a little longer to recover after Bilbao, I think it was just a problem of fatigue. Raul has shown all his quality, he is a very good player, a very reliable centre-back," Ancelotti stressed.
