Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver Randy Moss says he has been dealing with health issues.

Moss did not provide any specific information about what has been ailing him, but he did post a video on Instagram on Dec. 1, shortly before he appeared on ESPN’s “Sunday NFL Countdown.”

“Throughout the week of the holidays, man, your boy has been battling something internal,” he explained in a video he said was for all the men who were watching. “And I just ask for all the prayer warriors to put their blessing hands on me and my family through these hard times.”

Moss, 47, said people had been talking about his eyes when he appeared on the previous week’s show before adding he would be wearing sunglasses — which he dubbed “Michigan turnover glasses” — on the Dec. 1 episode. He also remained upbeat about his prognosis.

“I’m battling something, man, and it’s something internal. Your boy gonna get through it. I got a great team of doctors and I got a great family around me,” he said.

“All you men, y’all do your checkups, get your blood work done, and we’ll work through it, all right? All right, so you see me with my Michigan turnover glasses on, y’all know what I’m battling, man. God bless y’all. Thanks for the prayers, man.”

“There’s going to be just people concerned and asking questions and, like I said, man, at this time, I’m just going to keep a lot of things private,” he said. “Y’all just bear with me. But like I said, I need your prayers.”

He also addressed his health on “Sunday NFL Countdown.”

“I just want to let the viewers know that me and my wife, me and my family, we are battling something internally. I have some great doctors around me,” he said.

“I couldn’t miss the show. I wanted to be here with you guys. I feel great, but if y’all see me with these 'Michigan turnover glasses' that I have on, it’s not being disrespectful because I’m on television, man. I’m battling something. I need all the prayer warriors.”

Moss played 14 seasons in the NFL and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2018. He played for the Minnesota Vikings, New England Patriots, Oakland Raiders, Tennessee Titans and San Francisco 49ers. A six-time Pro Bowler, he ranked third all-time in receiving yards and second all-time in touchdown receptions at the time of his retirement.
