Crowds packed streets of Toronto for Canada's largest pride parade

Toronto Pride is one of the biggest festivals in Canada, and around 2.7 million people were expected to pack into downtown today to wrap up a month of festivities.

For some, it’s still a march and a demonstration, but for others, it’s a fun parade and a major festival.

Toronto Pride started back in June of 1981 when 1500 people gathered in a park. 42 years later, it’s now one of the biggest pride festivals in the world.

While Toronto Pride may be wrapping up today, Hamilton Pride won’t get started until the end of August, and for the first time in more than 3 years, it will be held outside at Pier 4 Park.
