Yan vs Figueiredo took place on November 23, 2024, at Galaxy Arena in Macau, China. The event featured an exciting main card that showcased several notable performances from top fighters in the mixed martial arts world.
Petr Yan emerged victorious in the main event, securing a unanimous decision win over Deiveson Figueiredo. Yan controlled the action throughout the fight, outstriking Figueiredo despite a few moments where the Brazilian fighter had some success.
The judges scored the fight 50-45 across the board, confirming Yan’s dominance in the bantamweight division.
In the co-main event, Yan Xiaonan marked her return to China with a dominant win over Tabatha Ricci. Yan used superior striking and movement to repeatedly outwork Ricci, winning all three rounds on the judges' scorecards. The final scores read 30-27 from all three judges.
Zhang Mingyang started the main card with a bang, defeating Ozzy Diaz by first-round TKO. The 26-year-old Chinese fighter landed a powerful elbow that sent Diaz crashing to the canvas, where he finished the fight with ground and pound. This victory extended Zhang’s streak to 11 straight wins.
Gabriella Fernandes provided one of the biggest upsets of the night, submitting Wang Cong with a rear-naked choke in the second round. Fernandes turned the fight around after being controlled early, stunning Wang with a high kick and then securing the submission.
In another thrilling contest, Muslim Salikhov knocked out Song Kenan with a spinning wheel kick in the first round. Salikhov’s veteran experience showed as he capitalised on a brief exchange to deliver the finishing blow.
The night concluded with multiple impressive performances, and UFC fans in Macau were treated to a spectacular show.
UFC Yan vs Figueiredo purse: How much money both fighters made from UFC fight?
This weekend's UFC Fight Night delighted fans of contact sports and mixed martial arts in the highly anticipated event at the Galaxy Arena in Macau, China.
The excitement promised to be overflowing, especially with a stellar fight between two of the UFC's bantamweight division figures, Russia's Petr Yan and Brazil's Deiveson Figueiredo. Both fighters aimed to secure a title shot, adding more intensity to the event, which also featured a compelling co-main event between Tabatha Ricci and Yan Xiaonan.
However, despite the high stakes, the purses for the fighters in Macau are considerably lower due to the event being non-pay-per-view (PPV), unlike previous bouts where both Yan and Figueiredo earned substantial paydays.
Yan’s income is expected to fall short of his $500,000 payout from UFC 259, where he fought Aljamain Sterling, while Figueiredo’s earnings are set to decrease from nearly $650,000 from his UFC 256 showdown against Brandon Moreno.
For their part, Yan Xiaonan can expect a payout of around $180,000, significantly lower than what she earned at UFC 300, while Tabatha Ricci’s purse is expected to be just $100,000.
These earnings do not include potential performance bonuses, which can significantly increase the final payout depending on their performance in the octagon.
