CHIRP and Nevada City Rancheria Nisenan Tribe invite the public to join them for Orange Shirt Day, a commemorative event showing solidarity with Indigenous children and families who suffer under the legacy of Indian boarding schools that separated many children from their families and native traditions.

California Heritage: Indigenous Research Project (CHIRP) is commemorating its 3rd Annual Orange Shirt Day, the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

The yearly event invites participants to stand in solidarity with Indigenous children and families suffering the legacy of residential Indian boarding schools.
