Oilers vs Flames
THIRD PERIOD

0.0: A HISTORIC VICTORY! The Oilers have set the new NHL record for the longest win streak by a Canadian team, winning lucky No. 13 with a 3-1 victory in the Battle of Alberta that's their 11th game in a row where they've allowed two or fewer goals. Stuart Skinner wins his 10th straight start to tie Grant Fuhr for the franchise record, and the Oilers are in uncharted territory right now with a 13-game win streak and a 26-15-1 record.

The Oilers go for 14 on Tuesday back at Rogers Place against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

35.0: WHAT AN EFFORT FROM HYMAN! He wins the race to the clearance and wraps it around into the empty net before getting knocked down for good measure. He won't mind as he mouths the words, "Let's go, baby!". That'll be all with the Oilers up 3-1.

59.9: LAST MINUTE OF PLAY! Calgary's net is empty.

9:39: McDavid can't convert Leon Draisaitl's deceptive pass out front! Vladar never had a chance, but the captain couldn't connect on it with the stick of Chris Taneve in the way. A terrific pace here in Calgary as we enter the final half of the final frame.

11:59: Mattias Janmark crashes the net a bit too intensely and takes a goaltender interference penalty to put Calgary on the power play.

18:21: LUCKY BOUNCE FOR EDMONTON! Sam Gagner centres the puck for Dylan Holloway and Connor Brown in front, but it catches a piece of Rasmus Andersson's skate before it hits Vladar's glove and goes in for a fortunate stroke of luck in Edmonton's favour.

20:00: The third period is underway!

SECOND PERIOD

0.0: We have a tie game heading into the final period.

1:56: Ryan McLeod's speed awards the Oilers with a power play after he's tripped by Mikael Backlund.

5:16: Evander Kane is called for a pick on Chris Tanev along the blueline similar to a play in the first period by Hyman that resulted in a penalty.

18:02: The Flames flare up to tie it on an odd-man rush. Edmonton got caught with players deep in the Calgary zone, leading to a three-on-one that's finished by Mackenzie Weegar over Stuart Skinner's shoulder off a pass from Blake Coleman. On the previous sequence, Zach Hyman and Connor McDavid had their two-on-one broken up by the sliding Rasmus Andersson. 1-1 in the Battle of Alberta.

20:00: The second period is underway!

FIRST PERIOD

0.0: We've reached the first intermission with Ryan McLeod's gorgeous goal putting the Oilers into a 1-0 lead.

4:57: VLADAR FINALLY SOLVED! Ryan McLeod breaks in and flips his ninth goal of the season past the Flames netminder inside the final five minutes of the opening frame. Vincent Desharnais made the nice outlet pass before Warren Foegele touched it into the centre's path along the blueline for him to pick up with speed and finish off. 1-0 Edmonton.

8:16: The power play is nullified with Zach Hyman taking down Noah Hanifin along the blueline on the zone entry. We'll play 4-on-4.

9:32: Connor Brown is denied his first Oilers goal on an left-arm save by Vladar. Wow, the winger and the Blue & Orange just can't buy one. However, Edmonton is going to get the night's first power play after Draisaitl is interfered with in the neutral zone by Adam Ruzicka.

10:28: Vladar again prevents Edmonton getting their opener by stopping Derek Ryan on another breakaway after Evan Bouchard made the full-ice pass.

14:01: McDavid can't complete the finish after chipping it around Chris Tanev for a short breakaway shot. Vladar again comes up with the save.

15:00: What a chance early for Warren Foegele and Evander Kane. Kane backhands a pass to Foegele before his linemate shakes his way in and tries to slide one around Vladar, but the Flames netminder gets the pad to it.

20:00: GAME ON! Dan Vladar is between the pipes for Calgary making his 16th start this season against Stuart Skinner, who can tie the longest winning streak by a goaltender in Oilers history with netminder Grant Fuhr if Edmonton can win their 13th straight game tonight. That would set the new NHL record for the longest win streak by a Canadian team.

There's a lot on the line with two points still the main objective for the Blue & Orange.

20:00: The First period from Scotiabank Saddledome is set to begin at 8:07 p.m. MT.
