With defenceman Darnell Nurse out the next 4-9 days after taking a hit to the head from Toronto Maple Leafs forward Ryan Reaves, the Oilers called up Josh Brown from the American Hockey League’s Bakersfield Condors to dress as the extra defenceman.
STREAK ENDEDAfter earning seven of a possible eight points, the Oilers were shut out Monday by a Montreal Canadiens team that sat last in the Eastern Conference. They have now been shut out three times in 19 games, and are 4-5-1 at home and 5-3-1 on the road.
