Nicole Kidman suited up for her recent appearance on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” on Monday in New York City. The Oscar-winning actress discussed her forthcoming film “Babygirl,” in which she costars alongside Harris Dickinson.
Kidman favored power suiting with a dose of pinstripes. The actress wore a coordinated double-breasted blazer with trousers featuring the classic pinstripe motif. The suited look featured a base black fabric with delicate, white pinstripes along the blazer and trousers.
The blazer of Kidman’s ensemble included sharp lapels and rounded shoulders. Beneath the garment, Kidman opted for a semi-sheer black blouse with a high-neckline, ruffles and the addition of a floral appliqué.
Opting to keep her sartorial statement the main fixture of her ensemble, Kidman wore few jewelry pieces. As for her glam, the actress’ long blond tresses were styled with soft waves and her makeup featured a smokey eye, bold brow and hint of a berry lip for an added pop of color.
Kidman, who recently earned a Golden Globe nomination for her performance in “Babygirl,” is currently promoting the film ahead of its forthcoming release. Prior to her appearance on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert,” Kidman hit the red carpet for the Los Angeles premiere of “Babygirl” on Wednesday.
The actress opted for a custom Balenciaga dress, a sartorial nod to the Spanish luxury fashion house’s spring 1964 collection. The strapless gown included a bustier bodice with pink and ivory organza petal flowers cascading down the dress. A black bow belt in silk satin was added to the waist for additional color juxtaposition and definition.
Directed and written by Halina Reijn, “Babygirl” follows Romy (Kidman), a high-powered CEO who enters a torrid relationship with intern Samuel (Dickinson), inevitably putting her career and family at risk. The film hits theaters Dec. 25.
