Niall Horan and John Legend are getting competitive this holiday season.

In a clip from Tuesday night's season 24 finale of The Voice premiering exclusively on PEOPLE, the coaches had some fun — but not so friendly — house decorating competition.

The clip opens with Horan, 30, setting up a wreath on his garage door before he's greeted by Legend, 44, his neighbor.

"It was so nice having you on the show this season — and it's even nicer that you moved into the neighborhood," Legend says, adding, "I do have to warn you though — I like to go big for the holidays."

When Horan notices that Legend's wreath is larger than his, he responds, "Trust me, I'm going big this year." After an intense stare-down, Legend responds, "We'll see about that."

The stars rush inside their homes to start bringing out more and more holiday decorations and manage to out-do the other in different ways. Horan's candy canes were much larger than Legend's — but the "All of Me" singer had a bigger snowman.

After a while, they begin to grow frustrated and tear down the other's decorations before breaking into a candy cane fight.

Gasping for air, Horan tells Legend he's planning on having a "huge" New Year's Eve party — but Legend isn't invited. This motivates the musicians to keep decorating into the night.

When they get all of the decor up and finally plug it in — Horan and Legend smile as the houses shine bright in their neighborhood. Suddenly, this causes the lights to go out everywhere.

"John, I'm scared," Horan says.

"Don't worry Niall, I got this," Legend responds as he turns on his light-up holiday sweater.

In the end, they smile and wish each other happy holidays — as chaos ensues around them due to the outage.

The season 24 finale ofThe Voice — also featuring coaches Gwen Stefani and Reba McEntire — airs Tuesday night at 9 p.m. ET on NBC with Jacquie Roar and Ruby Leigh of Team Reba, Huntley and Mara Justine of Team Niall as well as Lila Forde of Team Legend vying for the winning title.
