Former Wildcats in action during NBA Summer League

LAS VEGAS, Nv. (WYMT) - The NBA Summer League in Las Vegas has tipped off and many former Wildcats are getting their first look at NBA action.

Former Wildcats in NBA Summer League

On Friday, Reed Sheppard had his NBA Summer League debut against former college opponent Dalton Knecht and the Los Angeles Lakers.

Former college teammates Rob Dillingham and Antonio Reeves went head to head in their debut on Friday.

After competing in the Salt Lake City NBA Summer League, Justin Edwards and Tre Mitchell both make their debuts on Saturday.

Edwards and the Philadelphia 76ers take on the Detroit Pistons at 7 p.m. on ESPN2.

Mitchell and the Oklahoma City Thunder play the Toronto Raptors at 8:30 p.m. on NBA TV.

In three games in the Salt Lake City League, Edwards finished with a total of 18 points, 14 of which came on Tuesday against the Utah Jazz. Through three games Edwards also had nine rebounds, four assists, four steals and two blocks.

Mitchell only played in one game in Salt Lake City, finishing with three points and four rebounds.
