Michigan vs Ohio State

• In the 120th meeting between Michigan and Ohio State, the Wolverines' win marks their fourth straight and improves the program to 62-52-6 all-time in the matchup. It marks Michigan's first win streak of four-plus games in the series since 1988-91.

• The victory improves U-M to 29-28-2 in games played in Columbus, including a 26-24-1 all-time record at Ohio Stadium.

• The team that has won the rushing battle in this game has won the contest in 23 consecutive matchups (2000-present; 2020 not contested). That trend continued today with OSU finishing at 77 rushing yards and U-M at 172 rushing yards.

• The game was scoreless through the first quarter, marking the first instance of this rivalry with a score-free first frame since 2016.

Aamir Hall intercepted his second pass as a Wolverine and second in as many weeks with his second-quarter pick that set up Michigan's first points of the game -- a Kalel Mullings touchdown from one yard out.

• Mullings led the Wolverines on the ground with a 116-yard effort, his fourth game this season of at least 100 rushing yards and one touchdown.

Tommy Doman's second-quarter punt traveled 68 yards, pinning the Buckeyes at their own seven-yard line. It was Doman's second-longest career punt, after the 71-yarder he booted against OSU last season. Doman owns two of the three longest punts against Ohio State (70 yards, Monte Robbins, 1984).

Dominic Zvada's second-quarter field goal was from 54 yards. Zvada is now seven-for-seven from 50-plus this season, adding to his program record. The FBS record for made field goals from 50-plus yards in a season is eight. After adding the game-winning 21-yard field goal in the fourth quarter, Zvada is 17-of-18 on the season.

• In the third quarter, Makari Paige added the Wolverines' second interception of the day. It was his third career interception and second this season. Paige also recorded a pick in the 2022 visit to Columbus.

• That turnover marked U-M's third game with two interceptions this season and second in a row (Fresno State, Northwestern). It's the first game this season in which Ohio State quarterback Will Howard has thrown multiple interceptions.

• U-M's rushing defense has been a strength all season. The unit, which averaged 94 rushing yards allowed per game entering today's matchup, held the OSU rushing offense to 72. The Buckeyes averaged 177 yards per game on the ground heading into today.

Quinten Johnson appeared in his 57th career game with the Wolverines today, good for the fifth-most in program history. Only Michael Barrett (64), Mike Sainristil (62), Cornelius Johnson (61), and Jake Moody (60) have appeared in more.
