Laredo Police, Michael Myers share Halloween safety message

LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - The Laredo Police Department got into the Halloween spirit, with officers dressed as famous horror characters, such as Michael Myers hiding behind a palm tree and Leatherface riding a patrol motorcycle.
“Things are starting to get spooky at the Laredo Police Department! Happy Halloween, Laredo! Let’s keep it safe and fun for all,” they posted, reminding residents to stay alert and report anything suspicious.
Laredo PD shared these Halloween safety tips:
Watch for pedestrians – Trick-or-treaters will be on the move.Stay distraction-free – Put cell phones away while driving.Respect school zones – Many kids start early.Follow all signals – Stop completely at intersections.No drinking and driving – Plan for a safe ride home.Drive slow – Be ready to stop if kids run into the street.With their mix of fun and safety, Laredo Police hope Halloween stays spooky and safe for all.
