We’ve reached the dog days of summer, where temperatures soar in most of the United States and weather becomes as issue as much as it does at any other point in the season.

We’ve also reached a point in the schedule where big events continue to pile up. Starting this week at the Memorial Tournament the schedule says signature event, major championship, signature event in three consecutive weeks.

Batting leadoff in that trifecta, the top stars are at Jack Nicklaus’ beloved Muirfield Village Golf Club, where the winner will take home $4 million from the overall $20 million purse.

World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler leads the field and has won four times this year, including the Masters and the Players Championship. His eighth-place tie at the PGA Championship was his worst finish since a T-10 at the Genesis Invitational in mid-February. He tied for second place two weeks ago at the Charles Schwab Challenge.

Viktor Hovland, who was in the hunt at the PGA Championship until a three-putt on the 72nd hole, is looking to become the first to repeat as champion at the Memorial since Tiger Woods won in 1999, 2000 and 2001.

World No. 2 Xander Schauffele is back in action for the first time since his impressive PGA Championship victory last month at Valhalla. Rory McIlroy returns fresh off a fourth-place tie last week in Canada.

Here’s the rundown for what each player will earn this week in Ohio. Check back shortly after play is complete on Sunday for updates. There is no cut.
