Our stay in Los Angeles has come to an end, but there was still time for a Hollywood ending to our game against Manchester United on Saturday night.

Any scriptwriters looking to pen the dream scenario for any Gooners at SoFi Stadium would have conjured up a similar formula - go a goal behind our arch-rivals to add jeopardy, before we bounce back to reignite the drama. Then just as it seems the best possible outcome is out of reach, a moment of magic sees us grab the win and send everyone home happy.

And thanks to our Brazilian Gabis we did just that, in very different fashions. It was great to see Gabriel Jesus’ goalpoaching instinct again, before Gabriel Martinelli’s electricity excited a venue known for its lights and energy with a fabulous showing from the bench.

His solo goal was rightly shown on the big screen time and time again, and it was worthy of the canvas it was depicted on. “Jumbotron” doesn’t do the world’s biggest video board in a sports stadium justice - it weighs over 2.2 million pounds and needed 38 trucks to transport it to Inglewood.

They say everything is bigger in America, but SoFi Stadium takes that to the extreme. The 70,000-capacity home of the LA Rams is gargantuan - 3.1 million square feet in size, and the concrete used to build it could fill 44 Olympic swimming pools. It’s a seven-story ride in an elevator between the pitch level and the press seating, and a quarter of a mile from the tunnel to the entrance. It is a sight to behold, and if we return anytime soon, Gooners everywhere should try and make the journey.

With that in mind, how fortunate are we as a club that we get to play here whenever we head Stateside? The link between ourselves and the Rams only continues to strengthen, and with two wins from two games at their stadium under our belts, it seems we are beginning to feel comfortable in our summer home.

However, for now, we wave goodbye to Los Angeles, as we go from coast to coast to Philadelphia for the final leg of our tour, and a game against Liverpool.

Hollywood decided this was the perfect place to set Rocky, but hearing our squad and Mikel speak this week, a gallant defeat is not something to settle for. It might be a friendly in the City of Brotherly Love, but we’re looking to sign off our time in America with a win - with or without a fairytale ending.

In the last blog, we asked you to name our four scorers from our previous game in SoFi Stadium - they were Bukayo Saka, Kai Havertz, Leandro Trossard and Fabio Vieira.

This time, we’re testing your knowledge by asking you to work out which former Arsenal player played in the first-ever soccer match at Lincoln Financial Field when Manchester United played Barcelona in 2003? Find out the answer in the next blog!
